A parametrically modeled bench, modified by a genetic algorithm that uses a structural analysis program to find the most optimal design to support a given load. Named for the Folding@home project which uses a similar problem solving approach, Folding Furniture puts the designer in the role of simply selecting the parameters, while the algorithm determines the final result.
